What is the best sunrise you’ve ever witnessed in your life?

September of 2003.
Crawled out of my tent and saw the “smoke” covering the mountains.
(It is really the humidity from the dense trees.)
The sun was barely visible as an orange ball behind the early morning fog. The fog was so thick it was dripping off my Harley. I started a campfire to cook breakfast and waited for the fog to lift.
Suddenly the sun burst through and lit up some clouds with colors that I can’t describe except to say they were incredibly beautiful.
Suddenly I had to take a deep breath.
I forgot to breathe for a few moments! That’s how awesome it was!
I was by myself on the trip of my dreams. A motorcycle tour of the entire Blue Ridge Parkway. It lasted three weeks and I can still smell the clear mountain air when I look at the pics. I didn’t get a pic of the sunrise I mentioned because my camera batteries were dead. Bummer!!
